How to Encourage Customer Reviews Effectively:
Customer reviews can really boost your business's growth by building trust and credibility. Word of mouth is one of the most powerful tools for success. So, how do you get more reviews? Here are six strategies that have worked for me and can work for you too:
Providing quality service is the number one thing that will make a customer more likely to write a review.
Create a promotion where you get a discount on your next purchase if a customer writes a review.
Make it simple to write a review online. People are less likely to take time out of their day if it is difficult. (Your Google Business Account provides you with a direct link to your reviews - use it.)
Send an email blast after purchases or with your final invoice with a review request.
Posting happy customer reviews on social media platforms is an excellent way to promote any business and might even encourage other customers who feel the same way to write a review for you.
Just ask! Sometimes we might simply forget or think we are being annoying but it never hurts to ask.
Still on the fence about investing time into this?! Here are some statistics below on how good reviews affect whether or not a customer will trust/buy from a company:
79% of customers put as much weight on customer reviews as they do personal recommendations
On average, reviews produce an 18% uplift in sales
86% of people hesitate to do business with a company if it has too many negative customer reviews
